Woodley and Whitegates Liberal Democrats
Ray Duncan has lived in Woodley since 1991 and has been a member of Woodley Town Council since 2007 where he is keen to represent local opinion. He is currently a Law tutor and examiner and was at Thames Valley University and Reading College for 16 years with experience, amongst other things, of Health and Safety.
Mary has lived on the South Lake estate with her husband Eric and their family since 1966. After leaving school in Essex, she worked at the Meteorological Office in Bracknell before having her family and later returned there in 1990 - before retiring in April 2003. Mary takes an active part in the congregation at St. James's Church in South Lake, helping with the Thursday lunch-time Sandwich Bar and also with the older generation at their regular group called 'Rendezvous'. Mary is a keen photographer and birdwatcher and takes an interest in local environmental issues. Mary is Chair of Community Services.
Coling is one of the best known faces in Woodley, having spent over 25 years as Manager of a local well known high street chemist. Coling has been the Leader of the Liberal Democrat Group at Wokingham Borough Council and Deputy Leader of the Council. Now working part time, Coling is tireless in the work that he does for the Southlake Ward. Coling has many interests and adds his weight to every campaign that helps ensure a better quality of life for his residents. Coling is a trustee of Woodley Age Concern and is Deputy Leader of Woodley Town Council.
