Woodley and Whitegates Liberal Democrats
Denis was first elected in Loddon Ward in 1986 and has served on both the District and Town Council, specialising in recreational matters as a spokesman on Newbury District Council and Wokingham D.C. He has long campaigned for greater provision of open space and against the closure of playareas by the Borough Council and development on school playing fields. He was able to get the junction of Coppice Road and Loddon Bridge road widened to make it safer to enter and exit from.
Tony and his family have lived in Woodley for over 30 years. He is particulary concerned about the elderly people of the town and is actively involved in this area. In the past, Tony has been a voluntary driver for the "Meals on Wheels" service. He is also concerned about planning and the structure of the town, environmental issues and the lack of Police and Traffic Warden presence in Woodley. Tony also serves as Woodley Town Council's representative on Readibus.
