Woodley and Whitegates Liberal Democrats
Alan has lived in Woodley with his wife and family for 30 years, with all three of his sons educated in local schools. Alan has been a Town Councillor and Borough Councillor for the past 15 years and in that time he has been spokesperson for Policy & Resources and Community Services committees, has been Liberal Democrat Group Leader, and chaired a number of committees. Alan has gained extensive knowledge of housing issues and has worked with Wokingham Borough Council to provide more affordable housing for key workers, such as nurses, police and teachers. He is keen to see resources for young people considered as part of an overall neighbourhood plan that will not disadvantage any sections of the community.
