Phil Challis has lived in the Loddon ward since 1989, with his wife and two children and feels that Woodley has a great sense of community. Phil has enjoyed playing an active part in the community and at various times he has been a school governor, youth football team manager, chairman of Loddon Valley Action Group and is currently a member of the steering group of Woodley Community Partnership. He is currently working as a part-time Management Consultant based here in the Loddon Ward, which gives him time for action in the community. As well as being a Woodley Town Councillor for the Airfield ward, Phil is also a Wokingham Borough Councillor for the whole Loddon ward.
Matt Hayward is 38, works as a high speed train driver and grew up in Kingfisher Drive. Matt has always liked Woodley's great sense of community and although he is still a Woodley man at heart he has had to move just outside of Woodley to afford to buy a house. (Like many first-time buyers!). Matt's family still live in Woodley and he says, "I want to put something back into Woodley and have lots of enthusiasm for the future of our town".
