Jenny
Lissaman: Jenny is the councillor for Bulmershe and Whitegates. She has lived in the ward for over 30 years and both her children attended local primary and secondary schools. Jenny first became involved in local issues and campaigns through the Association of Central Earley Residents and was first elected in 1994. A keen environmentalist, Jenny has been active in many local campaigns and is especially concerned about the high level and speed of traffic in the ward. She also has a keen interest and experience in planning and serves on the planning committee. |

Sam
Rahmouni: Sam
represents Bulmershe and Whitegates ward on Wokingham Borough Council and has also served on Woodley Town Council for 4
years. He is an active member of the community and served
on many charitable committees. He is currently using his talents
supporting Woodley & Earley Lions.

Malcolm
Storry: Malcolm Storry has been elected three times as Bulmershe and Whitegates Borough Councillor and has represented his ward for the last 10 years at the Borough Council. Malcolm has lived in Earley for over 30 years and in the Whitegates ward for 24 years. He is married and has three daughters who all attended local schools and he is also a governor of a local primary school. In addition to dealing with the individual problems of constituents, Malcolm’s efforts as a Councillor have been concentrated on housing and planning problems in Whitegates. In particular Malcolm is concerned with protecting the remaining open spaces that are so important to the local residents. |
| Loddon |
|
Phil Challis:Phil Challis has lived in the Loddon ward since 1989, with his wife and two children and feels that Woodley has a great sense of community. Phil has enjoyed playing an active part in the community and at various times he has been a school governor, youth football team manager, chairman of Loddon Valley Action Group and is currently a member of the steering group of Woodley Community Partnership. He is currently working as a part-time Management Consultant based here in the Loddon Ward, which gives him time for action in the community. As well as being a Wokingham Borough Councillor, Phil is also a Woodley Town Councillor for the Airfield ward. |
| Southlake |

Beth
Rowland: Beth
is a well known figure in Southlake where she has lived and
brought up her family, all attending local schools. Beth is
a Governor of Southlake Primary School and a former Chair of
Governors on South Lake Infants School. While Chairman of Education
on Wokingham Borough Council, where she represents Southlake,
she was instrumental in bringing the two schools together to
form such an excellent new facility for the community. |

Kay
Gilder: Kay and her family have lived in
Southlake for the past 33 yearrs and during that time have
fought many campaigns to stop development on sites such as
Highwood and the Bulmershe allotments. Kay has served the
Community as both a Town and Borough Councillor for many
years. She is involved in many areas of Sport, is an executive
member of the Borough Sports Council, Chair of the Woodley
Area Youth Committee and on the Borough Forum for Youth.
Kay firmly believes in engaging the youth of Woodley in meaningful
activity and has worked hard to help provide good facilities
for them.
Kay is Chair of Governors at Highwood Primary School,
on the Fostering panel and also on the ARC committee.
In their spare time Kay and her husband
Trevor work with the youth of Woodley, by running Snorkelling
and Octopush Clubs at Bulmershe Swimming Pool, taking them
to World Championship level. |
